In 2003 Angela bought a minature longhaired dachshund puppy who she named Connor. He would be the foundation on which our love of dachshunds grew! Over the next 17 years he offered us companionship and love and while he was technically a "tweenie" he was absolutely perfect to us. We never showed Connor because of his size, though he had the temperament and conformation for it. In Dec 2020 at the age of 17 Connor crossed the rainbow bridge and thus was a hole left to be filled.

In 2021 we decided that showing and handling dogs was something we've always been interested in and as a bonus it sounded like a fantastic way to become closer as a family. Not just any dog would do though and we've searched near and far looking for just the right pup to join our family. We've looked at several potential matches for us and had our hearts broken over adoptions that have fallen through for whatever reason. In just a few months we've made some great connections with mentors, breeders, fans of dogs, and seasoned junior handlers. We hope that over the next few weeks and months we add at least 1 potential Grand Champion to our family and share with you the journey of our family joining the dog showing and handling world!
